Bio

A Licensed Safety Professional and currently the Executive Director and one of the primary trainers for the National Association of Safety Professionals. Expertise includes providing adult training methodologies to various corporations throughout the world and is a subject matter expert in HAZMAT Emergency Response and Hazardous Waste Operations. Is the lead trainer for the Certified Safety Manager Course recognized world-wide as a safety credential building course.

Prior to his employment with NASP, he was owner of Safety Training Consultants, a safety training and consulting firm that specialized in performing safety audits, inspections, written program development and various general industry training (HAZWOPER {40, 24, and 8-hour Refresher}, Incident Command, Confined Space Entry, LOTO, Forklift, Accident Investigation, Hazard Communication, various Train-the-Trainer Courses) for a variety of companies in the US. His career spans a variety of industry, including Safety Manager for the largest pork processor in the world, the automotive industry and the pharmaceutical industry.

From 1990 to 2000 he was Vice-President and co-owner of Environmental & Safety Services where he provided safety training and consulting and acted as an environmental consultant to various companies for EPA compliance including, but not limited to, RCRA (biennial reporting for LQGs), CERCLA/SARA (Tier II, Form R reporting), EPCRA, CWA, and CAA. He began his career working as a service technician for an environmental firm specializing in UST removal and water and soil remediation. He has a BA in Environmental Studies and is a Licensed Safety Professional.
